Bill Wolf started university teaching in 1949 at
the School of Business at the University of Chicago and in 1982 he retired
as a Professor Emeritus from Cornell University. Early in his academic
career he became captivated by the writings of Chester I. Barnard. He
sought out Barnard and personally interviewed him about his intellectual
heritage and his work experiences. Wolf is an honorary trustee of the
Barnard Society, U.S.A. and is internationally known as an authority on
Barnard's life and works.
