Daniel A. Wren received his Ph.D. From the
University of Illinois and is the David Ross Professor of Management, the
McCasland Foundation Professor of American Free Enterprise, and Curator of
the Harry W. Bass History Collection at the University of Oklahoma. He is
a Fellow of the American Academy of Management and a Founding Fellow of
the Southern Management Association.

Dr. Wren is author of The Evolution of Management Thought, now in
its fourth edition (1994), and White Collar Hobo: The
Travels of Whiting Williams (1987). He co-authored Management:
Process, Structure and Behavior (with Dan Voich Jr.) (1984), and The
Management Philosophers (with Ronald G. Greenwood)
(forthcoming, Oxford University Press). He has edited Papers Dedicated
to the Development of Modern Management (1986), and Early
Management Thought (1997).
Wren’s Work has been Published in the top
professional journals and other original contributions have appeared in
various collected works and proceedings. He has served on the review
boards of the Academy of Management review, Journal of Library
Administration, Oklahoma Business Bulletin, and The Florida
State University Press. He has served as Editor of Academy of
Management Newsletter, as Chair of the Management History Division of
the Academy of Management, and as President of the Southern Management
Association.
Professor Wren has received numerous honors including
the Outstanding Educators of America Award, Merrick Foundation Award for
Teaching Excellence, and the American Academy of Management Outstanding
Educator Award as the "foremost management historian of his
generation." |
